Thinkware now offers a professional mobile installation service for your Thinkware dash camera system. Simply purchase this item and a voucher will be dispatched to you. Once you receive this then simply log on to our online installation’s website: HERE and fill out a simple form with your 2 preferred dates. We will then contact you to either confirm or offer alternative dates that best suit you.

Note: The product we would be installing needs to be new and unopened

NO NEED TO TRAVEL – Convenient mobile installation service. A fully trained engineer will travel to a location of your choosing to install your new Thinkware system (Must have a safe location to work such as a Driveway)

Installation Conditions

NEW UNITS ONLY	We can only offer the installation of NEW & UNUSED Thinkware dashcams that have been purchased with a Hardwire cable. If you have the Cigarette plug version then you will need to purchase the Thinkware hardwire cable separately
OFF-ROAD ONLY	Our engineers can only work in a Safe Off-Road environment, we will not be able to work on any road under any circumstances
REMOTE LOCATIONS	If you live in a remote location then we may not offer the 10-day timescale, however we will work with you to find the best suitable date
WEEKENDS	Our engineers do work weekends however as these are a desirable date we cannot confirm that these days will be available within the 10-day timescale however we will work with you to find the best suitable date
BAD WEATHER	We may need to reorganise the installation due to adverse weather conditions, however we will contact you at the time to assess the situation
CANCELLATIONS	We require 1 working days notice of a cancellation, should you cancel on the day then a cancellation fee will sadly have to be charged.
PRE & POST INSTALLATION CHECKS	We will need someone to be present for the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes of an installation to allow for pre and post vehicle inspections.
INTELLIGENT BATTERY SYSTEMS	Some Vehicles have a system that detects power drain when parked (mainly BMW). If your vehicle has this system you will require a Thinkware iVolt BAB-50 battery pack. If you are unsure please contact our technical department prior to purchasing the voucher.
KNOWN ISSUES	Unfortunately, due to certain vehicle designs it is sometimes not possible to install the rear Dash Cam. Below is a list of identified vehicles not suitable for installation:
EXCLUDED FROM REAR CAMERA	[Jaguar I PACE – All years] [Mercedes AMG GT – All years] [Mercedes SLS – All years] [Range Rover Vouge – 2014 – Present] [Range Rover Sport – 2014 – Present] [Tesla Model X – All years]
VEHICLE EXCLUSIONS	Please note that it is not possible to fit rear cameras to some vehicles, such as Convertibles, Vans, Buses and HGV’s. Should you require installation for these vehicles please contact Thinkware Directly before purchase
OTHER EXCLUSIONS	Motorcycles, trikes, ATVS, Plant & all other non-standard or non-road going vehicles are excluded from any of our installation services. If you are unsure if your vehicle is valid please check before purchase.
EXPIRY	Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase date.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the dash cam cause DAB interference? – Thinkware cameras are some of the most shielded Dashcams on the market. Thinkware Rear cameras in very rare cases can cause DAB interference, however, we will work closely with you to resolve any potential problems.
Can you fit the dash cam at my work address? – Providing you have the property owner’s consent and it’s off-road then we can fit the camera at most locations.
How much notice do I have to give you to amend the installation date? – We require 1 Full working day’s notice. Should you cancel on the day then a cancellation fee will sadly have to be charged before any work can take place.
I have purchased the plug and play version can you install this? – You will need to purchase the Hardwire lead separately. We can only install the Hardwire cables of the Dashcam.
Will the engineer teach me to use the camera? – Our engineers will only install the camera. However for full information, please see the user manual and if you still need help please contact our UK Technical department.
How long until you can install my camera? – We aim to have the installation completed within 10 days, however weekends and some remote locations may require more planning, this will be discussed with you once you have entered your prefered dates.
Will the wires be on show? – Our engineers will hide the wires behind the vehicles trim, however a small amount will be visible from the trim to the camera.
